Hrvatska verzija:
Extinct/Existing (osobni projekt):

English version:
Extinct/Existing (personal project):

The aim of this series of illustrations is to show critically endangered animals as if they were prisoners;
which they are prisoners of their own environment, but also as defendants in front of their prison board, on which their number assigned to them in prison is the number of how many are left in nature. The place of the crime is the location where a certain animal lives, while the time when the crime was committed is the month and year in which exact  number remained in the wild. Their crime is that they exist, they "resist" extinction, in a sarcastic sense, because they are by no means guilty of any crime, especially not only because they live and enjoy freedom in their natural environment.
They are illustrated with watercolors in order to show the process of melting, or more precisely the disappearance, in color or lack thereof. Deliberately painting primarily the head and eyes, and leaving the feet unfinished to emphasize how serious is the risk of these animals to lose the ground under their feet, literally speaking as well, but they are still alive and their eyes are still shining.The idea is to encourage salvation for these species and in a few years see them in greater numbers, so many that they will no longer have to be on the "prisoner list", ie the list of critically endangered and where you are very anxious watching the state of their numbers.
